Senior Project Mananger
Location: Windsor, Berkshire,
A major consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi disciplinary design teams to deliver services to Contactor Clients in the UK Highways infrastructure market.
The key responsibilities of the position are to plan and implement the project start up.This may require a re-analysis of the project organisation and delviery as planned at tender. Put in place a project plan, organisation structure, delivery schedule with matching resource plan as well as a robust commercial framework. Deliver the services to an agreed programme managing the Client`s expectations, risks and opportunites as they arise and change. Scope to ensure our reasoble fee expectiations are realised. Reporting to the Client on project performance. Be responsible for and managing the Project Commercially. Ensure Technical Quality through checking and verification by others. Operate within Best Practice processes to ensure Quality Service.
Some mobility and flexibility may be required.
A Degree & Chartered (MICE or equivalent) status are essential for the post, whilst MAPM is desireable.
Experience in a design and Construct Environment with either Consultant and*or contractor; PM, leading diverse teams and delviering to cost quality and time parameters is essential. Whilst it will be an asset to have worked for both Consultant and Contractor organisations as well as Highways projects in the UK. Successful candidates will show a strong ability to manage the design process rather than particular strengths in any technical disciplines.
The successful candidate will be a leader of teams as well as a team player; be delivery focussed with strong interpersonal skills (managing both the client and other third parties as well as the Design Team); have a commercial mindset; be risk and opportunity aware and a good listener.
